Additional Info: American conductor Andrew Dogan recently completed a nine-year tenure as Music Director and Conductor of the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra. During his tenure with the orchestra, Dogan oversaw the transformation of the ensemble from a small chamber group to a 65-member symphony orchestra.

With a repertoire of over 400 performed works, Dogan is equally at home in traditional classical and 'pops' programming. He has collaborated with ensembles and soloists including the American Horn Quartet, Myung-Hee Chung, David Newman, Rachel Harding Klaus, and Evan Bravos. The orchestra performed the southern Wisconsin premiere of Peter Boyer's "Ellis Island:The Dream of America" under Dogan's direction to considerable acclaim.

Recent conducting engagements in addition to return engagements with the Lake Geneva Symphony have included performances with the DuPage Symphony in Naperville and with the Salt Creek Sinfonietta in Hinsdale.

Dogan is equally active as an orchestral and chamber musician. He has been a section violist in the DuPage Symphony since 2000, and participates in numerous chamber ensembles throughout the area.

A licensed architect and interior designer, Dogan is a project manager with Charles Vincent George Architects in Naperville. He is an adjunct faculty member at Elgin Community College, teaching architecture and related computer applications. He balances careers as architect, musician, and educator with time spent with his wife Julie and Scottish Terrier, Schubert. He lives in Elgin, IL in a vintage 1925 brick bungalow.
